The 2020 Shift

It has been an odd year, by any measure.  Unfortunately, or fortunately, it appears to be on a progressive slide to more of the same.

Looking at the current state of affairs from a Spiritual perspective, most of us feel that the planet is undergoing a much-needed shift in consciousness.  While many of us grow impatient for this shift to come to fruition it is important to remember that in universal “time”, the past few months do not even equate to a full second of our earth time.  But they do demonstrate the smallness of our human existence and an inflated sense of human importance.

The requirement for face masks has become a fact along with rising cases of a virus that carries fear and grief as its core, another virus is bubbling to the surface, racial bias outrage is fueling riots while anger and frustration feed the headlines….it seems that all of our human emotions are being ruffled and fanned to flame. 

Today I begin to wonder if behind my “mask” I can find a way to bring a smile to my eyes.  Perhaps I can slow down another notch and stop planning months in advance.    

Today as I examine my own placement in the scheme of the shift, I accept that I am not yet accustom to the new paradigm. 

May I take this opportunity to be ever more present in this day, this moment.

May I express my Love to those near and far.

May I rest well, eat properly and breathe deeply.

For today is all I really have.
